In February 2007 Novera Energy were granted approval to build a wind farm on the former Lisset Airfield, south of Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
As part of the development Novera Enery are providing a Memorial to the 158 Squadron which operated from this airfiled in World War II.

Notes of current progress for the unveiling of the new Memorial:
March 2009
: Progress at this time is now going as planned, the wind turbines of the site are in place with several up and running.

Saturday May 16th 2009: - Unveiling ceremony starts 14-30 Air Marshal Sir John Curtiss KCB, KBE, FRAeS RAF (Ret) Wing Commander Bill Stephenson RAF(Ret), Squadron Leader John Cotter DFC RAF (Ret), Squadron Leader Brian Quinlan DFC RAF (Ret) will perform the unveiling followed by the dedication by the Most Reverend Dr. John Sentamu, Archbishop of York.
A large number of 158 Squadron veterans and their families from all corners of the globe will be in attendance.
The Lancaster of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will grace us with a Flypast mid afternoon.
The evening will see a 1940's style dinner dance at the Expanse Hotel.
