Sgt. Derek Alexander Harcourt (#1164142 – RAFVR) was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFM), on February 11th, 1943 as per the London Gazette dated 12 January 1943. Citation not published but Flight Magazine dated 11 February 1943 has,‘Sgt. Harcourt is a wireless operator of outstanding merit. He has participated in many successful attacks which have included targets at Rostock, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and many others.
