F/S Anderson was injured 13 October 1942 returning from operations to Kiel.

Extract from W.R. Chorley's Bomber Command Losses.

At 00.50hrs, whilst in the process of landing, the pilot undershot the runway and the aircraft crashed injuring all on board. Although visibility was poor at the time of the landing, the cause of the crash was attributed to the general inexperience of the pilot.
